Salt and Pepper Shakers

A couple pair of salt and pepper shakers I made. Both are from Rockler kits and are made from yellow heart and african black wood. Both were easy turns. Used Eddie Castellin’s method instead of following Rockler’s directions
and finished them in record time for Xmas gifts. Let me know what you all think.

I think that they are great looking and will make wonderful Christmas gifts.

Great idea to identify them by color.
Just a thought on the design. I find cylindrical items like this seem to look better if they are “bottom” weighted. Meaning wider or more bulk at the bottom. In this case making the thick area at the bottom wider and the top bulge narrower. But that is just my opinion.

Beautiful and well finished shakers. They will make great gifts for Christmas. Well done!
