Boxes are a great way to learn new techniques. I had never made box joints before so here goes! To keep them different I left the fingers of the joints sticking out on one of the boxes and put a different curve on the end of the lids. The stop pin is 1/8 copper from the welding section at Lowes. I used red oak for the box and some leftover zebra wood for the lid. Three coats of Watco natural and some paste wax to finish them. The wood they’re sitting on is some Padauk and Wenge for another box I’m making. I have no jointer, just a Bosch contractors table saw and planer, but it turned out great. No seams at all between the pieces.

I was way too many years with extremely limited tools.

So, I can appreciate the difficuly of the great wok you did.
