Tried my hand at a beer caddy

So a lot of you LJ’s build these beer caddy’s and I wanted to give it a shot. I’m doing a craft fair in December and thought I might be able to sell a couple of these.

Made it out of pine, ripped the side pieces so that everything would be uniform. Finished it with polycrylic using my Husky detail sprayer.

These are a lot of fun to make and I can see trying different species for different parts. I’m considering adding some waterslide decal graphics for some friends.

Only thing I didn’t do was the insert to separate the bottles. Not sure if this is a “must do” type of thing but I can probably knock that out pretty easily.

Comments/criticism equally welcome.

Yes, I think adding the dividers will “make” the piece.

Neat Job— Yes, using woods from an area is a good “keep it Local” idea!

I do agree to adding the dividers— The rattle/clink—sends terror to the hearts of great BEER lovers everywhere!

I would be devestaed to BREAK 2 or of my BRRRR’s!

If the group likes a darker beer——try Widmer Brothers out of Portland OR —-Seasonal winter ale- Will be UNAVAILABLE by Feb.! -Brrr!

A very good DARK—not BLACK, but a nice amber—ALE!

I am very glad I did NOT find it years ago—Would have consumed too much!
