This is my stab at a Tansu cabinet. It’s a bit large for Tansu but it has 3 doors against 2 draws.
This was never meant to be sold, I took a short cut with the concealed hinges. The timber is Surian Cedar, very
easy to machine but can be hard to sand.
The doors are Geo. Nakashima style panel doors. 2 rails, 1 stile and the far end of the panel is the other stile.

You may have noticed but are too polite to say anything. The dovetails on the drawers are back to front.
By the time I saw the mistake it was too late, if it was for a customer I would have started over. These
things keep us humble, especially when see it every day!

Very nice work! I’d love to know where I can find more info. on the basses. They’re beautiful too. My son’s a bass player and I’d love to build him something like this one day. Well done!!!
