These bowls are from a Norfolk or Star pine. It’s my understanding they are the same tree.
The larger bowl measures 12” x 5-3/4” and the smaller is 9-1/2” x 3-3/4”. The walls of each are approximately 3/16” thick with slightly thicker bottoms.
Both are finished with a mixture of food grade mineral oil, carnauba wax and shellac.
The last picture shows a log section (painted to keep in the moisture) before turning.

these are really cool. I like how it displays the natural beauty of the wood.

Wonderful bowls! Like those pretty grains and the finish is flawless. Excellent turning!
