Nice work Joe. Is that hickory? I too have made this saw except from cherry. I did buy their handles as I don’t have a lathe.

No, it’s cherry. I’m a little disappointed the piece I used didn’t get very dark after I put shellac on it, even though I think it is heartwood. I cut it quartered so it would be more stable. Hopefully it will darken over time to that beautiful cherry color.
