This is a new outdoor trash can holder I built to replace the one that was hit by a car last winter. I used 5/4 pressure treated with 4×4 corner posts. I mortised and pocket screwed the 5/4 to the posts. and added 1/2” conduit for accent. I capped it off with ripped down 5/4 and pocket screwed miters at the corners. So when the wood finally dries out and begins to separate, they all can be tightened back up.
The whole thing is mounted to a slab of concrete with Titan Post Anchors. As you can see in pic 5. There are 4 lag screws into the bottom of the post and 8 screws into the concrete. Along with the 4 screws into the bottom of the post, the anchor has a 3 1/2” tube you drive into the center of the post. It makes for a very sturdy mount to the concrete.
When spring finally arrives I will stain the wood and paint the conduit. Not sure of the color of paint, but i am thinking black, or a dark blue to match the shutter on my house. Thanks for looking.

Very nicely executed project, Skippy! I am thinking, the same design can be repeated and filled up with planters.

Great looking trash can holder! Like the addition of the conduits, it will serve you well for a long time. Great job!
