Another attempt to find the something to do! This rack holds 24 wine bottles with enough room not to cramp for space. Labels are easy to read. This is the project I was working on when I broke the 3rd and 4th metacarpal in my right hand. Using a 4” hole saw when It stopped and the drill kept going and my hand was the victim of the end result. Now all is well and I am back at it again.
It is finished with dark wood tone stain and 4 coats of lacquer. As you can see by the pictures it gave it a shiny finish. Maybe too shiny. I will tone it down a little on the next one. For the shelves I used 1/2 plywood and supported them with 1” L brackets. I am always wanting your opinions on the things I build. If you have any suggestions or comments that will help me develop my skills please let me know. Share your expertise.!! Thanks for looking and don’t forget to leave a comment.

Really nice idea. Nice work. Do the wine bottles stop on the inserts you have in the barrel, or on top?

Thanks for you kind words. The bottles stop in the center where I have placed a small circle of plywood, and stay in place by the 3/4×3/4 guides.
