This is my first refinish job for someone that wasn’t my wife or myself. A friend is having their first baby and asked that I restore the cradle her parents used when she was a baby. I have around 60 hours of labor into this project. I tore it all apart, sanded every square inch and then stained with an Espresso stain by Minwax. It really turned out well. This was also my first finish job that I used a brush on stain instead of a wipe on. I can’t decide which I like best, although, with a wipe on you do not have has much work in between coats.

This originally was a paying gig, or I should say they offered me money, after some advice from other Jocks I decided this was going to be my gift to them. I delivered it tonight 11/5/2013 and they loved it, they also gave me a nice gift card to a table top gaming store. Thank for the advice jocks!

Thanks for taking a look at my project.

Seems to me a job done well, compliments.

Looks brand new! Nice job on the restoration. It went perfectly well.

Great restoration! It’s a great heirloom piece with a modern twist, very nice stain and finish.

Have your say...
