yesterday i was looking through a magazine and fond a cool idea for a squirrel feeder so i put the jigsaw to work and got this

How does the glass jar attach, or does it just rest in a hole?

With the right sized jar, it should fit fairly snuggly. Supposedly ! The plans call for a wide mouth 1 gal jar, all we had was a standard mouth jar.

i have a 1 gallon jar that i have been planning on making one with. The only thing is the Jays keep the squirrels out of the yard. And now we have a Jack Russel Terrier pup, so them poor squirrels are not gunna have a chance at our place. Nice project BTW…
