Built this workbench back in the spring of 2012. It’s a Benchcrafted workbench with their hardware for the tail and leg vise. Took 5 months to complete and it is the best tool in my shop. The top and base are made out of hard maple the leg vise and sliding deadman are cherry.

What a great bench… I wish I had room for one of these beauty’s…... Although I can tend to get messing gluing and finishing I would really try to keep this nice…. Enjoy this for yr to come.

This type of bench is not common in my part of the world (despite France being nearby). Perhaps a dumb question – but what is the point in splitting the top?
