My buddy wanted a cutting board for carving up his briskets. My first attempt at this pattern and I’m a little disappointed. I made a error in estimated the amount of wood needed for this project so it came out a little smaller than anticipated. Hopefully it will accommodate his brisket slabs.

Thanks to all those LJ’s out there who continue to post their cutting board projects…those how-tos helped me on this one.

Nice job, funny how much wood some of these need. Always fun to make though…. Well done.

Very beautiful design…I love it! What kind of woods did you use?

I think that something like this may be in the near future for my shop.

Thanks for sharing!

I still like it.
I think the color variances and distinctive wood grain in several pieces of the main wood throws off the effect a bit but it still displays nicely.
One of these has been on my to-do list for over a year…someday!
Well done.

I have a ton of mid size pieces of wood laying around that I want to use on cutting boards and lazy susans as gifts to our kids. I was wondering what you all are using for clamping the pieces together. Have lots of clamps but wondered if someone has come up with an easier way to keep them straight.

I really like the basket weave design
