2 of my daughters made some crayola art projects this spring and I’ve been wanting to make some frames so we could hang their artwork on the wall. Finally got around to it and they were excited to see their projects displayed. The frame is some salvaged pine and I added some walnut splines for strength and looks. I was happy to try out my picture frame clamping jig that was inspired by ldl, Mike in Wisconsin, Dawn and any others who came up with the great design, works like a charm. Now my wife has put in her order for several frames for family pictures to send out to the grandparents. I guess I’ll put it on the list and have an excuse for another weekend of shop time…bummer!

A dad can not say no! I know frames are tough as I make frames for my Sons photography. Nice job.

Beautiful frames, like the wood and finish. Great to protect and preserve those lovely artworks. Great job!

Your kids have talent, as do you. It has never occurred to me to build such a cool clamping Jig for frames. I could have saved a few bucks on corner clamps.
