Today's project-live edge cedar slab bench or table

This is what we put together today. It could be a bench or a coffee table because of the wide board brace underneath to lay magazines or books on. It is very rough, but you could say it just has a lot of character. It stand about 20 inches high and is about 8 ft. long. I can just imagine how nice this would look if it were planed, sanded and polyurathaned to a high gloss. If it hangs around very long we just may do that. That would definitely raise the price.

You should put some entex on in. It is an acrylic finish you just pour on and it drys to a high shine. Like they put on cypress clocks. It would look amazing. You’re right you could get whatever you asked.
