Just a small collection of jigs, etc that I’ve made over the past few weeks while my “main” projects were glued up in clamps. They’re all pretty straight forward and simple, but they make so many processes SO much easier and more efficient. I’m kicking myself for not making them sooner.
The pictures are: #1 – mounting board with adjustable angle jig for my grinder. #2 – a set of new Maple bench dogs with bullet catches to replace my busted up old Poplar dogs with Southern Yellow Pine “springs” #3 – a simple 2-square Pine “fence” to cut consistent rabbets with my shoulder plane (and save me from having to spend $ on a dedicated rabbet plane) #4 – corner-squaring blocks made from 1/2” Baltic Birch plywood #5 – a hand tool rack with sliding / adjustable dividers mounted to the side of my work bench with a couple of dowels (for ease of removal) #6 – a sticking board for grooving / rabbeting / profiling small boards
