Back saw handle update

This is a project I completed a while back and never got around to posting.

It is a 50’s era Disston back saw that I picked up for $5 at a local antique store. I did not like the uncomfortable handle and did not care for its looks either. I took a cue from mafe , Brit and Paul Sellers.

I do not like the way the lambs tongue turned out. I should have let it alone. Oh well…you live and learn. The reshaping made a huge difference in the comfort not to mention I think it looks better. It is one of my favorite saws.

It looks much, much better than the original Sam. Nice job, a lot of work to do one of those builds. And the saw appreciates the attention, too.
