I had one of these as a kid and remember how we would climb all over it for hours. When my mom was out I asked her if she still had the plans. She said yes but, it just took 2 pieces of plywood cut corner to corner.

Well after she left I thought about it, went out and bought 2 pieces of plywood and 6 hinges. 2 evenings later we placed it out in the yard and our granddaughter loves it.

That’s a cool tee pee. I could even have fun climbing on that. Thanks for sharing.

I think my boy would love one of those! What are the hinges for? Do one of the sides open up or something?

Thank you for the nice comments.

Rob – Two of the sides are joined using three of the hinges the other two sides use the other three hinges. The two halves are then joined together using small nails. This way if it has to be moved any distance you just knock the two halves apart and fold up the hinged corners and easily carry it away.

You can’t see it very well but the door cut out then has a square cut into it and it is placed over the top to add additional rigidity to the structure.

Very nice, I remember seeing this in an old magazine, quite awhile back.
