Using the Kreg plans their 2×4 workbench I modified them slightly to create this Workbench / Outfeed table. I had to shorten the bench to match it to my tablesaw, and actually shortened it quite a bit so I could install some leveling feet to tweek it perfectly for outfeed duties.

I did end up wrapping the edge of the top with some maple I had left over in the shop, and I covered the MDF top with a piece of 1/8 inch hardboard that I simply tacked down with finish nails so I could remove and replace it as needed.

I am impressed with how solid this turned out.

Nice job Kerry, I like the way you put a sacrificial top on the bench. it will be very easy to renew the surface as it gets beat up, or covered with glue.
Good job,

Nice. Almost too nice to use as a work bench. I think that will work great when you use your pocket hole jig. You do have it mounted on a sled, huh? If not, check out mine. Just simple clamp it to that purty new table and gitafterit! :-)

That looks great. I am a huge fan of the Kreg jig. I recently built this using the Kreg jig. The table is used to hold tools and wood parts not in use on the workbench. I love that no screws are visible. It is fast and and makes sturdy product.

MT_Stringer, I almost mounted mine on a board like that, but then it wouldn’t fit inside my Kreg Toolbox.
