I saw these holders from JayT and was inspired to make something similar for our salon.

Just for once I decided not to make do with almost there mitres, holding bits of dowel in mid air to cut them and so on so I built a selection of jigs and fixtures to help with this and future builds. I put together a mitre sled for my saw, a mitre shooting board, a regular shooting board, a bench hook, a base to hold my belt sander upside down and a jig to hold the holders in position for sanding and drilling for a dowel. All in all a very useful project.

Sounds like a “skill building” project with benefits – the fantastic card holders for your Salon. Well done.

I put these out in the salon today and sold one about 5 minutes later. I wasn’t planning on that but it’s hard to refuse my first sale!
