I really like this design.

They look like they would be very comfortable while still allowing you to get out of them without help, like so many Adirondack designs.

Sell to older folks that have trouble getting down/up into a chair.
Wish I had seen your chairs years ago.

I, too, congratulate you for making the chairs reasonably easy for us old timers to get up out of.

Along those lines, I’d recommend against narrowing the armrests. (I’m also fat. ;-) I’d put the widening part of the arms (nice feature, btw) on the outside of the chair.

Thanks Gary I to have been rather large for a long time. When I started the chair thing up I weighed in at 309# and now I am at 230#. I understand the arm size statement believe me. Ha-ha.

I have used Spar Varnish, and I am now looking into Penofin oil stains. I have use Stain and Tung Oil.

Wonderful chairs, like the design. It looks more comfortable and love the arm rests with cup holders. Great job!
