This is my first attempt at using SketchUp.

It took a long time to draw this, because I was learning the program while drawing the plan.

It was a little nerve racking, but the final outcome was very satisfying.

Great job, Dick!

Considering you’re an even older dog than me, you seem to be better at learning new tricks. :-)

Thanks Charlie Dog!

It must be a genetic thing.

Nice Dick! I really like how you styled the railing to contrast with the skirting. Looks good!

What a refreshing change from the boring porches that are abound. Your design and execution are admirable. Thank you for sharing. I enjoyed following your progress as well.

Whats worse than being an old dog, is being a younger dog and unable to learn sketch up. duh!!! You did a great job Dick on both S*U and the actual construct. You put this pup to shame.

Thanks Mike!

I’d rather be a pup than an old dog any day.

Nice work Dick. Sketchup is a great program for us Lumberjocks. I’d like to see more people admit to using it, because you can work out a lot of problems in the program, before you waste good expensive wood.
