Just finished working on an all american piece of history this weekend. My Grandfather’s hatchet from WWII needed a handle so I took a piece of Osage Orange grown in central Illinois as well as a wedge of black walnut grown here in Georgia and fashioned one for it. If only it could tell its story! This is now one of my favorite projects.
