This is a spalted maple bowl that I’m keeping forever. In addition to it being a beautiful piece of wood, it fits my hands perfectly. I could spend hours just looking at and turning it around and around—sort of like the worry rocks of the seventies. The second picture shows a circle in the middle that I couldn’t see or feel until I put the on the Danish oil finish. I’m torn between power sanding it off and refinishing or just leaving it to keep me humble (I’m leaning toward number two). Thanks for looking.

I always end up with those little circles. I say leave it in. :-)
