I made this wishing well as a 1st wedding anniversary gift to my wife. The design is my own, it is made from clear grade red cedar, finished with General Finishes Exterior 450. I did quite a bit of research before deciding on that finish and am so far very happy with it. Over a year later the finish had held up very well, no cracks or splitting. The trickiest part of this build was getting the angles correct for the base edges, the wrong angle adds up quick on an octagon!

Really cool piece. Simple but makes a great statement. Well done.

Lovely wishing well! It makes a great addition to the garden, a cool planter. Great job!
