I found this old heap that was missing the sewing machine from inside, in a ditch with a sign on it that said ’’free’‘
I refinished the wood, tiled the top and converted it into what is now my office desk….

cool… I like projects like this that takes something old and makes something useful… I did similar project… had broken marble top from a table… that fit nicely as top for the treadle sewing machine base. Mine had no wood… just the cast iron parts.

well done.

You got lucky on this find, most people want top dollar for just the iron or the wood. Good restore and desk.
