Burpee seed box for a wedding. Seed packs where tied with the seating cards. (I did not come up with that idea but I wish I did)
The box is made of pine with store bought hardware, the dividers are made of poplar. I hit this box with a hammer, car keys, coins and every file / rasp that I had. And wouldn’t you know that this is the first box that I ever made where every rabbit just so happened to line up ever-so perfect only to hit it with a hammer.

I used a dark walnut stain like it was free to get it in all the scratches then sanded it down almost to bare wood then used a walnut stain to highlight the scratches, although you could wipe on a stain and wipe it off leaving just the scratches but that never occurred to me till just now.

The sign is my attempt to add the couples initials to an old Burpee like logo it was made by over laying the followers with a blue background, if you ever do this make sure you save it once you get the background done then add the lettering. I used a free photo editor program for the 4 layers blue, flowers, coffee stain, letters but I could not get it to look right. I baked one on a cookie sheet after wiping it lightly with tea which has a cool effect on its own but found if you print one more vivid then you think anyone would like and tack it up outside for a few days of hot sun then photocopy it, it will look old. Or you could just get better at any of the Photoshop type programs I’m sure there are buttons I could of hit to get the same look but I had fun.

Sounds like you had a lot of fun experimenting with the logo. The end result looks great.

Cool box! Like the distressed look of it, very effective technique and stain. Well done!
