Rustic red oak dresser. It weighs about 100 lbs. It took me 8 weeks. Now I don’t have any excuse for throwing my cloths on the floor.

Very close to the end of the project I was cutting a piece of trim and it kicked back and flew like a javelin. It shattered the trim above the 3 large drawers. After about 5 minutes of cussing I got out my chisel and, very carefully, removed the remaining trim and then replaced it. That is one of the great things about building your own furniture…if it gets broken you can usually repair it. It taught me a good lesson. I have had a habit of standing off to the side when working with the table saw. Now I see how my habit of standing to the side may have saved my life.

Nice looking dresser. I’m glad to hear that you survived your table saw mishap.

Great looking dresser! Like the design, wood choice and the finish. It will be an heirloom piece for sure.
