Here is a door system I am really proud of. This is a set of 4 4o x 8o knotty pine doors on track. The opening is 16’ wide. The house has a very open back floor plan with a grand patio, built for entertaining. So this idea was hatched to close of the kitchen when having a gathering in the main space. The track is sourced from conference panel hardware. These are top rollers, with the bottom guides set in a pine threshold. The total scope of work included re-framing the entire space and adding a set of Glu lam beams to carry the added weight of the doors and a set of windows and dormers above, not seen in the photo. The doors are 1 3/8 knotty pine with 3/4 panels. Very fun to build these large doors. Will be posting a set of 4/6×10/0 chasing sliders as well as soon as I can get permission!! The kitchen you see and all the principle carpentry/cabinetry was me and my firm in this house. Thanks for looking.

very nice doors and well done. I’ve seen that 3 ply design doors used many times in hotels to divide big hall areas.

Those sliding doors look fantastic and well installed. Like the knotty pine, very attractive with the finish. Great job!

Thanks again, I may post the whole kitchen. It has some neat features, and a lot of pine.
