Bedroom Set

So, this is one of those things I have always wanted to do; build my own bedroom set. I am still kicking around the idea of building a standup dresser do go with it all. I did start out with a plan from popular woodworking and modified it a bit; mostly on account of a lot of amateur mistakes. But, I digress. The carcases are made out of Maple Plywood, trim and table tops are made out of the craziest wood grain poplar I could find and the drawer faces are made from dark walnut stained oak. Over all, the dresser holds cloths, the end tables hold stuff and my headboard keeps my pillow from sliding off the floor. It even looks kinda cool. Mission accomplished.

Always nice when the mission is accomplished. Even nicer when it looks this good. I like that dresser top.

Did you say the top was ply? It looks awesome. How did you do the edging on the top? It looks like some kind of intentional channel or gap.

I agree. It looks amazing. Love the contrasts. I’ve been wanting to make my own bedroom furniture as well. I plan on it being done by Christmas

Wonderful bedroom set! Like the colors and grain patterns on wood, the design and the finish. You must be proud for such beautiful and great work.
