One of my relatives does a lot of knitting and needed a stand for her 1920s sock knitting machine. The frame is made from welded 1” square tube and has self leveling locking casters mounted on the feet. The shelves and top are made from purpleheart which I have smoothed with a cabinet scraper and treated with linseed oil. I was very surprised at how dark the wood became once I oiled it. sadly I had to take the bandsaw to the top of it so the machine would fit properly on the stand.

Very nice Purpleheart and metal combo. It looks good and sturdy. Great idea on the casters. Well done!
