More of my spoilt tools.

As you may of noticed most of my tools are in “Over the Top” type Boxes. Coffins and Caskets for sleeping router bits and the list goes on.

Well my miniature clamp collection is no exception, I had this gas strut lying about so I decide to use it.

The box is a fairly basic design Ply and natural wood trim moulded and shaped and then cut open and the internals Flocked in Deep Purple.

It holds my miniature box makers clamps spring clamps and threaded rod picture frame clamps.

All of which have small parts attached to make them work, hence the box to keep them in.

So whilst making the box I thought why not make it self opening as well.

Finished the outside with some yellow wood dye added catches and hinges, and of course the gas strut.

The strut took a bit of fiddling to get it right but it works well.

Just pop the catches and it slowly opens, spooky! no rock music though!

Good for scaring kids visiting!! (only once though, next time they usually want to do it themselves.

The Billy cart, well its not finished so I cannot post it as a project, its for a friend who wants to go in the Carindale Races 18 Aug this year,
Its off now for the fitting of the final streering, road wheels and axels.
Its modified form of a Ford A model PU and added as a picture filler, lotta fun !!!
