This is a tray I put together over the last couple months. It’s maple and cherry. I inlaid the notes using a pattern and a router bushing. First time I’d ever tried doing that. The most difficult part is getting the pattern just right. This took 3 or 4 attempts. But of course now I have the working template, so I can make as many of these trays as I want!
This one will be donated to a silent auction at Bluesfest (http://ottawabluesfest.ca/), a big music (not just blues) festival here in town. The auction benefits the “Blues In The Schools” program. Can’t wait to see how much it sells for!!

Very nice tray but beware, this is a slippery slope.
I started doing router marquetry a couple of years ago and it (marquetry) has taken over a big part of my life.
... Not complaining…........ Just sayin’ :-)

Pretty and unique tray! Cool inlay, a great project for a greater cause. I’m sure it goes well in the auction.
