Well its finally done, Its been about 2 months of weekends, with a few skipped ones, but I delivered the bed today. The new owner, one of my best friends, helped me the whole way. Don’t think he realized how much sanding there was to be done. I told him when he thinks he is done, its only half done LOL. Turned out nice, Curley Cherry really popped after the finish was rubbed out. All in all a satisfying project. Thanks to my friend for not going to the furniture store.

The finish is a an oil stain I mixed in the shop, with 4 coats gloss lacquer rubbed out to a semi-gloss sheen

Very nice bed.I really like wooden beds.Beds made from wood are very sturdy and durable.Wooden beds are the one that can bring charm to your room. These beds have become an obvious choice for those who want to give a classic look to their place.

Fantastic bed! I confess I become fearful with an expensive and beautiful piece of hardwood at my disposal. I wonder if you felt anything like this at the onset of this project.

Well… This bed turned out worthy of any fine lumber one could imagine. Truly beautiful.

It’s even beautiful pre-finish.
