Ok, first let me say, I did not make this – a good friend of mine did. I found a similar one he made on the internet and he was kind enough to make me a personalized one! I just thought I would share this with everyone, cause it is such a special piece and so wonderfully done. My granddad was a wood turner and is the reason I am now a wood turner. My granddad has been gone 20 + years and he would have gotten such a kick out of this carving. I built a display case for this piece, it will be cherished!!

I think I kinda sorta resemble that character, as do a few others on this site. A wonderful character that
deserves a special display case, and he might just get copied a few times. Thank you for sharing, and your
granddad just might be chuckling over your shoulder.

Thanks, you may be right – he would be chuckling!! And I thought it looked like me??? Guess all of us wood folks look alike!! :O
