The sliding doors I make allow me to put multiple types of wood surfaces on each side of the door so it can blend with whatever motif the customer has in the room(s). On one side of this door is our reclaimed mushroom wood siding that we surfaced and lacquered. The other side is reclaimed hemlock barn siding that has red paint faded on the ends. It has been lacquered as well. We make all the hardware as well which is pretty heavy duty. I made a custom adjustable phenolic guide for this one as well.

Beautiful. In a former house we used sliding barn door hardware to separate a living room from our ‘music room’. But your implementation is much nicer. Thanks for sharing.

Beautifully executed. This looks like one heavy bugger! I wish my 5’5” frame had a Paul Bunyan motor.
