A small keepsake box with nice details including maple partitions to keep small object in their easy to find locations and a mahogany, maple, and ebony inlay on the box lid. The box is finished with 3 coats of lacquer then hand rubbed to a satin finish that is also wonderfully soft to touch. The box bottom is pine to add another bit of surprise to the box when opening the lid. The contrast of the strong gain in the pine behind the clear maple and multiple colors of the mahogany adds to the details of the box. The pen is included to show the size and scale of the box and is made from the maple scraps.

Very nice piece. I like working with Mahogany myself, and especially like the way it finishes. Great details on the joinery.

Fantastic box! Great design and joinery and the inlays added a great accent. A keeper!
