I needed to glue together a few large panels. However, I don’t have any pipe clamps, nor do I care to buy any. So I had to come up with a way of clamping the panels together. I placed the panels on top of two 2×4s and screwed two scraps of OSB to the 2×4s on either side of the panels. I then took a bunch of wedge pieces of wood and pounded them between the OSB and another scrap, pressing the panels together.

This isn’t really a wood project, so to speak. I just thought it was a good idea worth sharing.

I’ve used wedges like that to glue up large half laps, never for a panel. If it works, don’t fix it!
