Just finished this entertainment center for my sons game room. Had some challenges with making this as it was the first time that I have ever used a biscuit jointer. I wanted the shelves to be the same height all the way across but I measured from two different places on both side when cutting the biscuits so they don’t line up. At least when I did that I did the same on both ends so I didn’t end up with biscuit cuts that I had to fill in. All I can say is lesson learned make all your cuts at the same time so you use the same measurement for all of them.

Well you’ve just picked up the first of the many little nuances involved in woodworking that help make projects more precise, the reference surface for measurements. Keep learning as you go and you’ll increase your skills as a craftsman with each project, while having fun at the same time.
