This is my first project that I have posted on this great website. Last summer my wife wanted a table for our deck which had only AD chairs. I wanted a low maintenance piece. We settled on red cedar decking 5/4×8 on edge with Douglas fir 4×4 legs held together by 4 SS 1/4” threaded rod. The spacers are red cedar as well. The tops of the legs and spacers are cut at an angle to shed water. My brother in law gave me the idea/plan since he loves to design this kind of furniture. I am a beginner and learning as I go but websites like LJ is going to help me tremendously. The best part of this project was using a 1950s Craftsman band saw to cut the leg tops that I inherited from my father for the first time.
