Although this was made October 2012 I figured I may as well start posting from the beginning as this was my first project and what caused me to gain an interest in woodworking.

I used nothing but the finest materials and joinery, 4 by 4s and lag screws for the frame :) For some reason I am only able to put up 3 pictures at this point so will not display that here.

Used oak veneered plywood for the panels/shelving/doors and an oak/composite marble for the top. I am still looking to finish this off with a good brass pole foot rest, currently have an old shower rod taking up the role Not pictured

This project stemmed from an internet search for a replacement bar and locating a similar one in the neighborhood of $3,500 although I put about $500 and a few days work into it I’m very pleased with results…

Do not do any cutting of fruits and veggies for my drinks but felt compelled to match the design with a bamboo cutting board set into and framed with plywood picture 3.

Thanks for looking…

Thanks OT, Tim, Mark… Problem is the Bud Light has a tendency to be drank Miller is in there for guests… Not necessarily a good combination power tools and alcohol but garage is certainly dual purpose… My pool table continually has a sheet of press board over the top of it serving as a primary layout/work table :)

It’s very nice looking and considering that it was your first time project it was done really well. As a matter of fact, if you hadn’t have told us that it was your first project, none of us would ever have known that fact. Congratulations and welcome to Lumberlocks.

Nicely done…and great taste in booze. Have you tried Jack Daniels’s new Tennessee Honey? That stuff will kill me…

Thanks Bob… Sure have, made the mistake of consuming a full 1/5th which I had chilled in the freezer… Very smooth until the next day.. Have a newer Single barrel which is clear whiskey. Not my personal favorite for flavor but certainly good quality and unique look seeing a clear JD.

Shops are for visiting as well as working. Very nice. Might have to add a bigger screen TV though. For football, other sports, and Clint Eastward movies. And I suppose Norm Abrams.
