Recently I cut back a Crab-Apple tree in the back yard and finally started playing with some of the wood.
It has some very interesting Grain and turns very nicely.
Now I just may have too take the whole tree down!
Finished with some wipe on Poly.
Thanks for looking!

Very nice, I didn’t know that Crab- Apple was that nice. You certainly did it justice.

Nick,
Is it green wood?
If so, how did you dry it to finish it?

Pete,
Most of the limbs that were cut back were fairly well seasoned, some just clinging to life.
Managed to find a few pieces that weren’t to cracked & checked.

A wonderful piece you designed. I will have to convince my father his crab apple tree needs trimming.

really neat looking vase. The wood is quite striking and the captive ring is a nice touch.
