This is a picture frame I made out of off the rack window casing. I made a sub-frame of 3/8” oak strips that I ripped to be a 1/4” narrower than the casing, to leave a recess for the print. I assembled the frame using half-laps, glued the casing and rosettes to that, and finished the whole thing with aniline dye and two coats of spray-on spar finish. For anyone who cares ,the print is “Ocean Amaryllis” by Fabrice De Villeneuve.

I always like a different frame and you did it here.
Mitered corners can always be a grind which you went around nicely…............................

redryder; yeah, mitered corners suck, but the main reason I went this way is because all the windows in our living room use the same style of casing, so it was a “carry on the theme” kinda thing…
