Red rock + Samba 4/4 from exoticwoods2000 (ebay) and some Padauk legs
made this Suiseki a fun project.
The rock is a press fit into the mortise and I like the way it turned out.
The Samba was too light so I put some Padauk dust from the leg making session
and rubbed it into the open pores. Added some shellac, and then Minwax
wipe on Poly.

Pretty neat waho,I like the legs.
The dust trick is a good one.

Cool stones are underrated, it’s about time they got some respect!

Beautiful and interesting piece. The pretty stone really goes well with the carved base and legs. Great job!
Have your say...
