I finally got around to making a kerfmaker based upon what I liked best about many of the versions posted here on Lumberjocks. It’s been on my “list” for a very long time but I am so glad I finally got to it! I have been using it for the last week or so now and it works absolutely like a charm. The design is pretty simple, using some scrap oak and 1/8” hardboard glued into saw kerfs for the keys.
If any of you are like me and have put off making one of these much longer than intended, I recommend it for your next small project. It’s quick, simple, and a lot of fun to make.

Welcome to the KerfMaker’s Club… Yours looks a lot like PaBell's, which is somewhat different from the ones I made. Good job!

Made one last week, used it for some jewelry box inserts. One of these and a table saw sled are must haves in my opinion, now that I have used one. Great idea, simple and just works.
yours looks better than mine however.

Well done. I like your version of the kerf maker.
