made this out of walnut and used pine for the bottom with cedar laid in on top so it can be removed and sanded to refresh the scent if needed thanks to all the lumber jocks who gave me advice when planning this you were all very helpful and gave me lots of options and ideas I love this site oh for the finish I used shellac then wipe on poly with a coat of wax to finish thanks for looking

Looks great. I like the dovetails and the color of the lumber. You even included aromatic cedar, you thought of everything!

Super nice chest, really a great build, those dovetails are fantastic. Cut by hand?

thank you! yea they are cut by hand I cut a few for some drawers but these were the first I had done on the outside of the project boy I sure am slow cutting them lol
