Yesterday marked a new beginning! Production finally kicked off in our new shop. Took us about three months, but we re-built our 1894 Summer Kitchen into our Thee Wood Shed shop. During the season, May through October, I work for the largest living history museum in Ohio, Sauder Village. They handed me a pile of photos of boards and had me make a half dozen to bring in for a meeting/authorization. They liked and want them so now its time to produce them to sell in the village.

All of the boards are hardwoods like Oak, Walnut, Hickory and Maple. so a variance of colors. But very simple designs. Four coats of food grade mineral oil.

Just feels good to be working in the new shop!!!

Thank You! Feels so good to be out there… can feel the history of my wife’s family and her great grandfather, grandfather and father who worked in this shop… because once the summer kitchen was separated, they turned it into a machine type shop where they worked on their tractors etc….
