This is the oak country shelf I built for my grandfather in-law. My wife and I have one we use everyday in the bathroom that is slightly larger. I found the idea on the Popular Woodworking website in a pine shelf and the only real modification was the material.

A very useful shelf for the bathroom with plenty of space. The design is very pleasing. The finishing is very good. The wood chosen is proper for the environment.

Nice looking shelf. In oak it should be an heirloom.

Thanx everyone. The measurements I used was 24” wide x 32” sides, but overall its just over 36 with the decorative top.

Nice work. The best pieces are the ones that we get to use everyday. Don’t you find yourself thinking, “WOW, I made that!” everytime that you use it? I know I would.

That is very nice country shelf. Maybe a photograph of the shelf on the wall would be more impressive. Send it next time.

Great shelf- what kind of joints are those? Also, how do you hang it- French cleats?
