I know, there are too many pen posts on here already…
But these are some of my first ones, made as a bunch of Christmas gifts for last Christmas. I did somewhere in the neighborhood of 25 pens and pencils. Lots of different woods, burls, tried some Celtic Knots, one with crazy scallops – took forever to cut and glue up that blank, but my wife sure loves it.
Not all of the ones I did are in the photos because they were gift-wrapped too soon and I for got to take photos. gave matching pen/pencil sets to everyone in my office and they liked them a lot. Finish is CA glue – you can really get that shiny going through some really high grits. I had a 3M headlight restoration kit with leftover pads and polishing compound and it worked great for these.
Thanks for looking!

That is some good looking pens. I like the finish that you achieved – CA glue? The Celtic Knots are also cool.

Nice job on the pens. I know from personal experience how time consuming it can be. I’m curious about the white pen with what looks like a bunch of darker inlays. Would you be willing to talk about how you achieved those results?

I’m a beginning pen turner. I’ve turned approximately 50 basic pens.
How do you do the celtic knots?
Thanks

Great looking pens and I can’t say I have seen too many.
