It was Lisa’s birthday coming up and she has always wanted something that I made. Well, I decided to make her a little band saw box and a ring to put in it. The box,(elf house) is made of pine laminated together. The drawer pull (door knob) is of walnut.
At first, I just made the box and thought I was finished with it, then, I looked at it and decided it needed something extra so I got out the wood burner. I like it much better.
The ring is made on the lathe from a birch branch that I had laying around for firewood. Both are finished with my oil and wax mixture.
