Picked up a small lacewood blank from WoodCraft a few months ago. Worked with it today, and it was pretty nice. I think I finally learned how to shear scrape end grain, as I was able to remove most of the tearout with my bowl gouge before sanding. The finished item is about 4 inches wide and 2 inches tall…...sanded to 600 gr and finished with HUT and Club Wax.

Great looking bowl. That’s a lighter colored Lacewood than I’ve seen.
